I've read the book back in High School but never saw the video until now. However, I think I saw a modern adaptation of this book on a movie, "Equilibrium," with Christian Bale. I'm just making a guess.

This is definitly my favorite novel. Now, only if they would take it and make a new movie. This is a good one that ive seen all the way through. But, could be much better. The way that Orwell writes, still stings me to this day.

I have read the novel and he actually criticizes TOTALITARIANISM, from all ends of the political spectrum. And as a matter of fact, Orwell was in favor of democratic socialism. You can find that in "Why I Write."
