Actually i intend to never see hulk as a punishment for that last "close-up" to insult out inteligences in "do you get it!!?? you get it?? yes?!! no!!?? im going to close up so you can get it better now!!"You get it or not.. i dont need a pointless and time wasting close up.. The DVD version is much better because they cut the close up and show Clive smiling and driving away

No and yes..This is the first version as was avalaible for download at Internet back in 2001.. later when the free DVD was released the DVD version was a slighty diferent and longer cut

I begrudgingly grant your point. And I have already given the craftspeople their due -- these are beautifully done. My own point, however, continues to be aimed more at corporate thinking than what the artist chooses to do. Because in these days of cutting arts funding with an axe, it's about survival.

This art is the result of people's efforts. To devalue this is to make them lesser folk compared to the classical starving artist. Is that really right, or is that just a comforting rationale for self-superiority?The classical triple-duel between artists, scientists, and businesspeople continues.

Thank you, my friend. You just codified my position. Yes, I agree that this is well done and entertaining...for what it is. But anyone who really believes that "art for art's sake is useless" has no real understanding of the function of art OR the artist. Even the "useless" stance is a comment for thought. Mr. Lee, a marvelous director, obviously understands this very well. Disney is the prime example. And now through these short films, BMV is carving out its own territory. |
