There is a time and place to question authority and its not whilst pissed on the streets in Wigan city centre.The police made a reasonable arrest here using pain compliance which is reasonable and legal to prevent a suspect from resisting arrest.Its a non story of a typical arrest one of many more due to alcohol up and down the country made worse by the terrible hysterical reporting of a Tabloid! they really should be made to report the truth and not their version of the truth.

Anyone who thinks that this is brutality is obviously more idiotic that mis-guided. 1. The punches that were given were to the muscle areas2. The punches were at timed intervals and were low power3. Do you really think that if they were going to beat him they'd do it on the street with CCTV and where cars were passing.I just hope that all you people calling the cops don't have a burglar in your front room or get a punch from a squaddy when out on the beer
