Maya is way more complicated to learn than 3ds max especially with the MEL scripting. Used both programs and Maya is definitely better (*well at the end of the day it doesn't matter what 3d app you use, it's about how you use it*), harder to learn, but it pays off and has lots of features which make whatever project your working on much easier. The hotbox is a great tool as well. 3ds max is a great program but is especially good for those new to 3d applications and is quite easy to pick up on. |
